Linens & Towels
If you plan to rent your property, the subject of linens and towels and their cleaning frequently comes up.
Generally we recommend using only white linens and towels. This is to prevent any bleeding or fading of color during laundering. We would ask that you provide two sets of linens for each bedroom and two sets of towels for each bath. This allows for the rotation of these sets during the cleaning process. The beds can be made and the bathroom set while the dirty linen is being cleaned.
If your home has a normal sized side by side washer and dryer, it is rare that the laundry cannot be completed in the normal time to clean the home. If you have a villa with a smaller stacked washer and drier with multiple bedrooms and all beds and baths have been used during a stay, it is possible that additional time will be required to complete the laundry. In such case additional cleaning charges will apply.
There are stacked washers and driers on the market today that are full sized. If you feel your current unit is below capacity and you will be renting your unit consistently, you may want to consider exploring the possibility of upgrading your washer/drier. If cleaning is being perfomed under a flat rate charge, any time beyond what is normally alloted to clean a home/villa for the completion of laundry is charged at $30/hr.
A few of our clients use a laundry service. We can place your laundry in a bag and remove it to our office, where a service arranged by the client, picks up the bag, cleans the linen and returns it to our office. We would then return the linen upon the next cleaning. There is no additional charge from us if you choose to make this choice if your linen service performs their responsibilities correctly. However, if we have to become involved because of late or missed pick-ups and deliveries, there may be additional charges incurred.
