Reliable History

Founded in 2000 by Seabrook Resident, Bob Montague, Reliable Property Managers grew from Bob‘s frustration in caring for his own home. Getting simple household tasks accomplished at a reasonable price became almost a full time job. Finding quality work that was reliable presented a challenge. At the same time, Bob was becoming involved in the management of several homeowner associations on Seabrook. Shortly, the contacts and experience gained in caring for these regimes began to flow to individual homeowners and before long Reliable Property Managers was born.

The company grew to managing 16 homeowner regimes and 160 individual properties not only on Seabrook, but expanding to Kiawah and Johns Island. We also probide services for corporate clients and provide cleaning services for Holy Spirit Catholic Church on Johns Island. Reliable seeks to not only care for properties owned by full or part time homeowners, but also provide the homeowner who rent with an alternative to rental agencies that take a large percentage of gross receipts in addition to large fees. Reliable became an owner support company based upon a monthly inspection fee rather than a percentage of receipts.

Reliable‘s initial office was located in the Seabrook Island Realty building at the Seabrook Island Main Gate. In 2006, growth forced expansion to larger offices in the Disher Hamrick Realty office directly across the street. Early in 2010 we again expanded by moving next door to 1003 Landfall Way in the old Seabrook Medical Facility next to The Red Sky Grille. Reliable‘s personnel now includes a full time office staff and a license contractor as well as a large complement of handypersons and housekeepers. Additionally, a large investment in information systems provides a state of the art website, electronic communication, individual client access to information directly related to their individual property via a password protected portal and inspectors who use notebook PCs allowing a neatly typed easy to read inspection report.

Reliable‘s goal is to set itself apart from other service providers by creating a seamless one stop shopping environment that allows homeowners the opportunity to vacation in rather than work on their homes.
